Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect & Geolocation

WeatherTool Pro ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website https://weathertool.xyz. We do not require account registration, personal names, passwords, or credit card details to access our algorithmic forecasts.

Location Data: When you choose to click the "Detect Weather For My Location" button, your browser requests permission to access your device coordinates via the standard W3C Geolocation API. This data is processed client-side and used exclusively to find the nearest indexed meteorological station. We do not store, log, or sell your exact GPS coordinates to third parties.

2. Cookies & Advertising Partners

We use cookies and local storage tokens to remember your preferences (such as your preferred temperature unit °C/°F, dark theme state, and language selection).

Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

3. Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We employ Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-VMJM1ME0SB) with IP anonymization enabled to monitor aggregate website performance, popular search routes, bounce rates, and browser technologies. This helps us optimize CDN routing on Cloudflare and maintain sub-50ms edge responsiveness worldwide.

4. Third-Party Meteorological Feeds

Our algorithmic forecasting pipelines integrate open meteorological APIs provided by Open-Meteo, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), ECMWF, and RainViewer Doppler radar feeds. When radar maps are rendered, tile requests are loaded securely via CDN.

5. GDPR & CCPA Your Rights

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you are entitled to access, rectify, or request deletion of any diagnostic data stored about your session. Because we do not store personal profiles, clearing your browser cookies and local storage will immediately wipe all stored preferences from your device.

6. Contacting the Data Controller

If you have any questions or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy, please reach out to us via our Contact Page or email us at [email protected].
